Definition of 1B2 Oil and Natural Gas Source Category
Total fugitive emissions from oil and gas activities. Fugitive emissions may arise from equipment exhaust (non-combustion), leakages, upsets and mishaps at any point in the chain from production through final use. Note also that emissions from flaring are included (the combustion is considered a non- productive activity).
